Hijack this thread!
« on: April 10, 2006, 04:56:39 pm »

OK, this is not my idea.  It stems from "Steal this Book" by Abbie Hoffman and "Steal this Album" by System of a Down.  I'm just adapting it to fit our purposes here.  This works a little different from those, though, in that instead of trying to deploy useful information or decent music to the world, this thread serves two purposes.

One is to serve as a place for people who want to hijack a thread, thus keeping the useful and informative threads hijack free.  The second purpose is to give the thread hijackers on this board (and you know who you are) a place to unload thier mind droppings (and if that sounds dirty, that's just a reflection on you).

Enjoy.

I *know* you're not referring to me...

I guess somebody must have already done "steal this idea."

I wasn't referring to anyone other than myself.  I let others determine their own guilt.

I suppose it will be all the usual suspects here..

Although I think it may be difficult to hijack a thread that's meant to be hijacked. It just won't be the same... And I don't know that it will stop other thread hijackings.

Okay, for our first hijacking, I would like to note that it is 6:30 p.m. here and it is freakin bright outside. Stupid governor.. What was he thinking? Putting us on daylight savings time... In June it's gonna be light until like 11 pm! Gah....

Heh... it's 3.30 here, and dark. (Stormy weather)

As for the never-to-be-sufficiently-cursed DST... Nyah, nyah, nyah! We don't have to deal with it! :P

Don't complain.  I have to drive west to get home.  The sun likes to sit right at the same level as the stoplights.  Try sitting at a light trying to watch for it to turn green while your eyes are bleeding from staring at the sun.

No fair!  I want thunderstorms!  OK, sure, ours usually come with tornados, but that's good sleeping weather right there.

Thanks Dr. Mindfork and your fancy pants psychology degree!
Now you have me doubting my threadjacking abilities with your Freud!

I don't get the "Dr. Mindfork" reference, but it reminds me of a Yogi Berra quote:  "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

As far as your abilities to jack a thread....OK, well, that's just dirty.  I'm not going to go there since there are ladies present.

Oh, and for those who don't know, I'm at work (for another 15 minutes), I'm bored, and, save for a handful of high points, have been bored all day.
