Alongside Night
« on: August 07, 2016, 02:47:22 am »

If you have Amazon Prime and can stream movies and shows over the Internet, then you can watch Alongside Night, based on the novel by J. Neil Schulman. It's pretty faithful to the book since was written, produced, and directed by the very writer of the novel. You may recognize at least a couple of names, like Sorbo, of Hercules tv series fame.

The production values in my opinion is a little more than YouTube quality, barely into the professional levels. Although you can see it is produced by professionals, you can see that it wouldn't be shown in theaters(I think they would be too embrassed to show it in their own theaters). Let me put it this way: "Shakespeare, it ain't."

As long as you're aware of that, you may enjoy the "show" for how they treated the translation of the novel. For the limited budget they had to go on, I enjoyed it.
