The Red Pill Movie
« on: July 26, 2018, 08:43:49 pm »

Can't believe no one written about this Doc before.

http://theredpillmovie.com

This is a documentary of the Men's Rights Movement by a woman, Cassie Jaye, who used to be a well known Feminist. She went in with pre-conceived notions and came out of the experiences, no longer calling herself a feminist. She went into the makings of this documentary with the intention of "exposing" the dark underbelly of the Men's Right Movement, otherwise known a the MRA. The reason she "used" to be a feminist is she truly learned that the MRA as a whole are not what she thought it was.

How do I know this? Besides the in documentary dairies entries she put into the movie, there were many articles and youtube vids of her describing her experiences. Not only of what she went through during the making of the movie. When the movie was distributed for viewings, there were many protests, mainly by Feminists, and by those who had never even seen the movie. I only learned about this movie myself by the recommendations of YouTube program, and my subsequent research convinced me to watch this movie as soon as I can. Unfortunately, that was only over the Amazon Prime video service.

I've just recently watched a youtube segment of the TED talk with Cassie Jaye as she spoke of how she went into the making of this movie. How she "interviewed" the people, specifically the men, without "listening" to the men. She mentioned that she heard the men but without listening to them. She only started "listening" to the men when she started transcribing their interviews.

The movie is not without its flaws, but is an otherwise good documentary about the MRAs. I'm going to recommend this movie to those of you whose minds are open to the possibilities that the men do have legitimate issues to deal with, without denying or downgrading women's issue which this movie is not doing.

I will also strongly recommend that if you are willing to watch this movie, then you should read up and watch other videos about Cassie Jaye's "Trials" of trying to defend her movie to a very strongly and often hostile media. This would also be an interesting area to learn about what C. Jaye had to wade through. Hopefully this movie won't be a career killer for her.

Strongly recommended, especially with the also recommended research I mentioned above.
