The Irregular at Magic High School
« on: November 08, 2015, 04:22:17 pm »

To start with I admit that I'm an Anime fan.

If you have access to Hulu or Netflix, I'm presently watching Ep: 4 of the series and it has a very libertarian scene that's very akin to the economic situations today. Who knew that the Japanese had these thoughts as well, considering their culture today?

It remains to be seen if the rest of the episodes are this good.

I spend Several Hours Daily Watching Anime or Reading Manga.

I heartily recommend "Naruto", "Inuyasha", "Plastic Dreams"—and quite a few others.

My memory for four and five word Japanese Titles is Minimal.

I recognize the Title or the Thumbnail Illustration when I see it...

I haven't gotten around to watching that one yet. Since you mention it, I'll probably get there sooner rather than later.

I try to juggle several at one time because when I come to the end of one that I've really enjoyed it is a bit of a let down.

It may be rationalization now that I'm too old to do aught else but more and more I'm coming to believe that the more enjoyment that you can get from Phantasy Land the Less Physical Assets that you have for the Man to Tax.

Unfortunately episode 4 is the only one with libertarian attitudes expressed, the rest is mainly action stuff, something action fans will enjoy.

Actually a lot of shows pepper good stuff in their content.  Anime in general does.  They deal a lot more with people taking action when authorities are either powerless, corrupt or incompetent in the face of a bad situation... or occasionally complicit.

A cute one was Sword Art Online, which apparently pissed off a lot of people because it wasn't perfectly written or had some fan service.  Been catching up on Fairy Tail.

I'd recommend, regardless of which anime you watch, watch the subtitled version.  The dubs are some of the poorest translations possible, having been "westernized" as heavily as possible.

Here's a good place to share an anime I just saw y'all should like. It's especially good if you need to unwind and smile. It makes me want to live there.

It follows four girls living in the countryside. The pacing is slow but don't get discouraged. Living in the "sticks" is slow. Your gaming system is 20 years old. There's only 2 stores (wait till you see the second one). No cell phone reception.

One place to find it: http://animehaven.org/episodes/subbed/non-non-biyori/page/3
