Chill was in the air this morning!  Low 40s when I got up.  Makes me yearn for the forest in search of Bambi's dad.
You and me both, brother!

Muzzleloader season starts up 17Oct in my neck of the woods.  Counting down the minutes...

Back to the thread: 42 degrees this morning.  No frost on the windows.  Yet.

Power cost last month:  $102.66

---
Some relief is on the way!  But we have to wait another day until we are out of this close-to-record-breaking heat.
A very strong ridge of High Pressure will bring above average temperatures to the Valley today.  High will hover around 105°.
Tomorrow, however, highs will be out of the triple digits.
---

Pros:  Less power cost soon.

Cons:  Winter visitors & too cold for HOA commune pool.

So coats and gloves.  Great.  Went to the high country recently, it was 78o and I was acting chilly:  "Oh, you must be from Phoenix!"
(Note:  I'm from a cold climate so don't go thinking I'm not familiar with being chilled to the bone - it's just that you get used the heat, like a reverse Eskimo!)

there was a winter weather warning for the mountains here, for snow in the higher elevations, with rain below that.

but we never saw any rain here, so far.

maybe some this Sat and Sun.

We use terms like “nice,” “pleasant,” “dreary,” “crappy,” etc. to describe the weather/climate. My perception doesn’t always align with prevailing sentiment. Is a 60 degree day with a few rain showers a “nice” day? What about clear and 10 degrees? Here in Alaska, people complain when it is 40 degrees in January as being too warm. In Phoenix, people start complaining when there are two cloudy days in a row.

Cool and rainy. Good weather to stay in and watch foreign tv while drinking enough coffee to thread a sewing machine while it's running...

Been raining since yesterday morning.  Currently 50 degrees.  Yuck...

Chickens are staying dry in their coop at least.  So glad it wasn't doing this during my deer hunting last week.

65F here in Southern Vermont. The remnants of the hurricane went through yesterday and last night. High winds. Lots of power outages, though it only flickered once at my place. Tropical air pulled up from Mexico. Partly cloudy now. Back to freezing tomorrow night.
