Why don't we just start a new thread? I'll put a link to this one in the new so folks can refer to it, but we can let the new one be a bit more specific. This one goes all over the place. LOL

A week ago Monday we were in the upper '70's (unusual for this time of year). By mid-week and so far this week we've been in the low '90's with high humidity. It's brutal. We had a rain gusher Monday evening, but today I checked on the plants on my back deck and they are looking pretty pathetic. I hate summer. :(

Last month, much of the United States was wet. How wet? When climate scientists at NOAA’ National Centers for Environmental Information averaged the observations of rain, snow, and other precipitation from across the country, they found out it the country’s wettest May since records began 121 years ago. In fact, it was the wettest month ever recorded!

Gotta love the exclamation point.  Imagine them writing a paper for a particle physics journal:

Abstract:  Dude, we measured the fine structure constant to, like, twenty significant digits!

Two hailstorms in the last 11 days has pretty much destroyed my garden. The raspberries and so forth were seriously damaged as well. The leaves on the trees are damaged, thank goodness no broken branches, but I didn't need to thin the crabapples. Now there are only a few, and look bruised. The grass is knee high or worse, and it has remained too wet to mow. I tried to use the weed eater a few days ago when then sun was out, but it just clogged the thing constantly and I gave up. More rain today and 70% chance of thunderstorms tonight, with a high chance of more each day for the rest of the week.

Did So. Calif. get any of this rain?

Right now it is 57 degrees outside, with 82% humidity. Oh... and it's starting to rain again. This is just soooo weird.
