M6 oxygen bottle ballistics test
« on: December 27, 2014, 03:33:02 pm »

Empty bottle  - at about 10 yards with unsighted* ACOG laser dot sight on flattop AR-15 with off the shelf .223 ammo.

* We did sight it in at 100m w/paper plates and the below was our 'spotting scope'.  Shoot three rnds then tear downrange and yell back 'You've got three rnds at the three o'clock in a group about 'yay' big!'  'What?!'  'I SAID, YOU'VE GOT THREE ... hold on ...'  (getting back on bike)

Edit:  Won't bore you with more pics, but the sight was more like a 'Burris AR-F3 AR Tactical Flat Top FastFire II & III Mount' sight'.  Damn thing cost as much as the lower receiver did if it was the same one ... and I thought I was being fancy when I bought a $100 ARMS mount flip up sight for it (and properly sighted in) - which better be somewhere as it was taken off for some nouveau laser optic thing.

“This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end - which you can never afford to lose - with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” - ADM James Stockdale
