Attack on Titan
« on: April 02, 2016, 10:45:55 am »

I'm watching Attack on Titan on Netflix. About communities of people living behind walls to protect themselves from giant humaniod called Titans that eat humans and only humans. Most humans prefer to run away and hide from the Titans. Some however decide to take the fight to them.

Very good, sometimes philoshopal debates over whether it's better to run away or to stand and fight.

Quite frankly, I see parrells between the Titans and those fat asses in D.C.

My kids and I are watching this, too.  I'm not getting allegories from it, just that I'm still not a fan of anime, so the story has to be rather compelling to get me through it.

Actually yes, it does have quite a level of sophistication to it. It is not your kids animations, I would not recommend this for the younger kids, keep them away from this one. The violence and gore alone are reasons enough. But the writing and storytelling is above par with this show. If you can get your wives to get into the show, I believe the writing alone will keep them hooked. It's that good.
