I'm listening to a bunch of new Trance genre stuff... For some reason, it seems to really get my creative juices going. This last week I've written more fiction (sci-fi and fantasy FTW) than that previous time when I began to write that Novel about the modern-day Ronin.

In fact, I've written 14x the content than is currently in RONIN.

For breaks in-between, there's:

Chinese Pop

The Tea Grandfather Makes - Jay Chou (English Subbed and worth it)

Germanic Barbarian Metal

Saksenland - Heidevolk

Camilla Williams, who passed away at age 92 this week (Opera):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AM3MLsDZnE

Which of course led to Leontyne Price :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTuvi2IgFSk&feature=related

I cannot find it, but if you have a chance to hear "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" from LP - do so.

Music is my drug of choice ya know!

I'm Not Afraid - Eminem, my Favorite song at the moment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5-yKhDd64s

Beautiful - Eminem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgT1AidzRWM&NR=1

I like the lyrics of this song (green text is the best parts) but I'm not impressed with the way it's sung:
Quote
Born This Way - Lady Gaga

Intro
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'cause you were Born This Way, Baby

Verse
My Mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir
"There's nothing wrong with lovin' who you are"
She said, "Cause he made you perfect, babe."
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"

Chorus
I'm beautiful in my way
Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way

Post-Chorus
Ooo there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Ooo there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Ooo there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be!

Verse
Give yourself prudence
And love your friends

Subway kid, rejoice your truth

In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth

A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (hey hey hey)
I love my life I love this record and
Mi amore vole fe yah (love needs faith)
Repeat Chorus and Post-chorus

Bridge
Don't be a drag, be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen
You're black, white, beige chola descent
You're Lebanese, You're Orient
Whether life's disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
Cause baby you we're born this way
No matter gay, straight, or bi
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or Orient made
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

Repeat Chorus

Outro/Refrain
I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

I was born this way hey!
I was born this way hey!
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey!

I'd like to do an acoustic cover of this.

Album: "Glory of Byzantium".

Imagine gregorian chant with more range, melody, and including women.

Last track was "Les Mages, Roi de Perse".  (Magai, kings of Persia)
This one is "Tous ensemble les Agnes dans le Ciel" (All of the angels in the sky).

I haven't a clue why the titles are in French when the singing is in Greek.

It's pretty, though.

Robin Trower - "What Lies Beneath"

I've been a Trower fan since the seventies, but until now, I've never found an album I liked better than the old originals ("Bridge of Sighs", "For Earth Below"). This one rocks. Mellow instrumentals. Sultry vocals. Been playing it a lot.
