I think it was PKL and Mouse (?) who brought up Bluegrass in another thread. That got me in the mood for Alison Krauss; which lead me to Patty Loveless; which lead me to Vince Gill; which lead me to Toby Keith; which lead me to Willie Nelson!

Robert Hunter from a concert in Asbury Park NJ. 1980.  The song is "Eagle Mall"  - 17 minutes of the depths.

This is what happened before Terrapin.

Possibly the best version of a rare jewell.

I must be on a South-Asia kick today...

Cebu Province, Philippines
Kaylan Lang and Sana di Nalang  both by Kawayan,

Dandansoy an old Cebuano and Boholano folk song, In this case sung by ASIN (translated Asin = salt),

Somewhere else in the Philippines
Food for the Soul by Sandwich,

Bangkok,Thailand
Pongsit Kampee by Kid Teung,

Assam, India
Modern Song by the Deori Tribe

New Delhi, India
And for a reason unknown to myself, I started listening to Bolo Ta Ra Ra by Daler Mhendi... orz

Then my interests shifted and I went on to listen to a bunch of stuff by bands like IOSYS, Girls Dead Monster, and Hearts Grow... none of whom are remotely alike one another.

Oh geez.... Hatagan tika og grabe musika.... (I give you too much music...)

I wanna be a Care Bear
Oh It will be so great to when I'm a Care Bear
Oh I can hardly wait to be a Care Bear
And do the things Care Bears do.

The World's Favorite Overtures, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. The New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Pretty good stuff. Right now, Orpheus in the Underworld. That's the overture that the Can-Can is taken from.

I see... When you said can-can, I thought immediately of this infamous tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eMVPbsvrRg which then reminded me of this infinitely more infamous tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVtTNN8jJXU ... yes, the mind works in mysterious ways...

I'm listening to CCR playing Hello Mary Lou and Up Around the Bend while posting this.
