I love it. Jayne was my hero, though. He was like the lost psycho wolf that finally found a home.

He was the host of Reading Rainbow, a show I watched as a toddler.

Yes, it was from Reading Rainbow that I chiefly remember him-- I never watched ST very much-- didn't care for it. I just thought it was cool that Levar was on both shows when I was a kid.

Ahem ... Linda .... That is NOT a Nice Hat.    It is a CUNNING Hat ....

Which is a direct line from the Firefly series and is from where the title for the thread came.

Cunning is such a Macho word don't you know    ... and Jayne [played by Adam Baldwin] is nothing if not Macho.
[Jayne is one of the male characters in the Firefly series.]
It and the movie Serenity are both very highly recommended.

Serenity and FireFly

and then there is the Serenity Movie fan forum HERE .

Excellent entertainment and "pithy" to say the least.

ENJOY

You're my hero Cap'n. I've been looking for that series online for over a year and never saw this site.
You totally rock!

The series came first, so logically...

Yes. Also (I don't want to start a foo-raw here, but ...) the movie is just a standard, and derivitive, space opera. Ho hum. The poor, murdered TV series was ... a work of sublime genius.

Besides, the series establishes (beautifully!) the characters and their relationships. The movie ... well, all it does is (mild spoiler) kill some of them off.

Series first. The movie wraps up all the loose ends of the series. There is even a comic book available that fills in some more of the story that happens between the series and movie. If you watch the movie first, you will regret it. The tale needs to be told in order.

Not religious about it, but if I am surfing and it is on, I will watch it.
