UB art professor Kurtz plans exhibit on terror raid at his home

Quote
An exhibit focusing on a 2004 raid by an anti-terrorism task force on Kurtz’s home will debut Saturday in the Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, 341 Delaware Ave.

SEIZED is the title of the presentation, which will be on display in Hallwalls through July 18.

The exhibit “will provide a rare window into the anatomy of a ‘bioterror’ investigation,” according to Hallwalls officials.

Kurtz, 49, is an artist and University at Buffalo professor who was indicted on mail fraud and wire fraud charges after the Western New York Joint Terrorism Task Force accused him of illegally obtaining bacteria.
