Sure, Claire,
I figure if the mod squad does not like it, they can fire me.   ^_^

I have a great interview, not preparing crab bisque, torte au chocolat Callebaut with whipped cream and raspberries, and some seared summer squash, and moose steaks for a dinner party with some Magito Zin.  Yum.

And the guests are arriving.
At least the table is set already.

First off, YUMMY!

Second, having my own board I have recently been on your side of the equation having to ban spammers as well, so I feel for you. Other than Spamdude posting fuck you towards me, I did not see the aftermath leading to his banning. I always miss the good stuff.

Ditto

Although I can honestly say that I don't care that I "missed"  most of the "fun".
I posted a "gee you're obviously on the wrong forum dipstick" note and went to bed.
Now I return and He-she-it has been removed and banned.
As well as my post but No Matter.

Well done FF and Thanks.

PS
Anytime you want to "practice" your cooking skills I'll be glad to offer up my little, very not-fancy, kitchen as a laboratory for your experiments.  Ahem

Thanks for the feedback: what he had posted was particularly offensive to females, I think.  Yuk.
I just thought we needed to get past it, sorry I deleted some other comments, but I was just trying to clean up the boards as fast as I could while he was posting to various threads.

I will keep those cooking invitations in mind.  It was a superb dinner party last night, for sure.

Two new thread sections to come
« Reply #21 on: December 04, 2007, 07:30:34 pm »

Coming soon: The last mod or admin 'vote' came in just now on adding two extra
areas to the first group of thread titles, those being
"Activism" and "Freedom's Spirit",
making the top section look like:

    - - - - - - - - - - -
    Bulletin Board
    - - - - - - - - - - -
    Activism
    - - - - - - - - - - -
    Freedom's Spirit
    - - - - - - - - - - -
    General Discussion
    - - - - - - - - - - -

Not any great change, just two new 'categories' for
sorting out posting subjects/ideas.

Would you all mind putting in the little blurb in the line below their title indicating what is appropriate to be posted there?

Thanks,

I'm not necessarily against this, don't get me wrong.  But I see you're moving a lot of GD threads to the new area, and don't really detect the pattern.  How are thread-starters supposed to know where to start threads?

Oops. Sorry, Joel, I was off in GD history still doing that.

> I'm not necessarily against this, don't get me wrong.  But I see you're moving a lot of GD threads to the new area, and don't really detect the pattern.  How are thread-starters supposed to know where to start threads?

At first I thought to write something like "First Thoughts", but ... ran down on thought. "Freedom's Spirit" is, to me, a expansive ?concept?, so I went looking for previous threads that might illustrate some of the aspects, certainly not all... and this array in reflecting my oddities of seeing things I hope may provide a variety of aspects.

> detect the pattern

I didn't want much of one to come through. It's not meant to restrain by example, but rather show some of the many different types of threads that might be of... uh... ?illustration?

> How are thread-starters supposed to know where to start threads?

New threads as in GD appear in most recent first, of course. Continuing the old pops 'em to the top. But, I think you ask more of subject-wise, slant-wise, what/how to start, maybe? I think the "Spiritual Basis of Freedom" thread comes to me first in trying to grapple with this "thing", subject, area of thinking about "Freedom's Spirit".

And, it's all of us who post who blend in different aspects from different views that create where the the ideas might lead and will as well provide the "color" for this section.

Enough?

Edit in: And as I went off just now for a new coffee, I thought/hoped this array of threads I grouped together might give the more new type of poster (newbie) a feel for this area's possibilities.
