Evoluting
This site is a ContentCreationWiki whose focus is PeopleProjectsAndPatterns in SoftwareDevelopment.
The ideas of "Wiki" may seem strange at first, but dive in and explore its links. "Wiki" is a composition system; it's a discussion medium; it's a repository; it's a mail system; it's a tool for collaboration. Really, we don't know quite what it is, but it's a fun way of communicating asynchronously across the network.
Welcome Visitors - Welcome to the very first WIKI!!
WardsWiki has been around since 1995 but always welcomes newcomers with valuable contributions. Be prepared for a bit of CultureShock, though - there is no formal NPOV (neutral-point-of-view) on WardsWiki and many clever people have visited with ideas that don't always play well together. The advantage of this Wiki is in the freedom, simplicity, and power it offers.
Meatball is a community of active practitioners striving to teach each other how to organize people using online tools. Members here are either community managers or are building supporting tools; MeatballOutreach lists some of our affiliated projects. We gather here in a spirit of BarnRaising, exchanging help when needed, mostly by teaching each other.
UseModWiki is an implementation of the original Wiki concept created by WardCunningham. A "wiki" is a website that is collaboratively edited by its users, including the ability to change text written by other users (see WhatIsaWiki). This site exists to test UseModWiki and to attract suggestions for future improvements. See SiteList for a large list of other sites using UseModWiki--a good example site is the [Meatball wiki] which discusses online communities. The current release of UseModWiki is available from the /Download page.
Welcome to Wikitaba. My goal is to harness the true potential of wikis by taking a fresh look at how we organize our knowledge. One special thing about Wikitaba is the use of term-based architecture to keep things organized and allow space for all sorts of ideas! Please feel free to take a look around! If you like what you see we'd love for you to stay and write. Why?
