Memory deletion device researched

Soon the CIA will be able to waterboard whoever they want, then erase the victims memories.

Military Investigates Amnesia Beams

Quote
A team of scientists from the United States and China announced last week that, for the first time, they had found a means of selectively and safely erasing memories in mice, using the signaling molecule αCaMKII. It's a big step forward, and one that will be of considerable interest to the military, which has devoted efforts to memory manipulation as a means of treating post-traumatic stress disorder.

There is a memory deletion device which is unfailing, and has been around for centuries. It is called old age.

Alcohol has been the best memory killer I have ever tried. A little more beer and I will forget my last ex-wife completely!

For more interesting reading I suggest:

There is a lots of great "advances" taking place there, too.

Guys,

You're missing the counter-ops potential. Suppose you were a member of
some underground group. You could erase parts of your own memory
after action so that if you were caught and tortured, you couldn't divulge
useful information to the black hats.

In fact, you could really mess with their heads by messing with your own.
Imagine your real memories and knowledge of an action were removed,
and the replaced with a false memory that would implicate the other teams
people.
